It achieved a price of GBP 960.00 (€ 1,425.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. Admittedly, works by Bernard Picart have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty in July 2013 with an auction result of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89).

Die Arbeit Series of dressage scenes: Le Brillant; Le Galant; Il Peso d'Oro; and Le Leger von Bernard Picart wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures & Prints bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 960,00 (€ 1.425,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Bernard Picart auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty im Juli 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.855,89).
