In May 2015 Christies in New York held the auction The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV, which included the work Design for an engraving: Night scene with the wigmaker, Brontin and Boirude, the sacristan, surprised by a night owl flying out of a lectern, from Le Lutrin by Bernard Picart. Here, the upper estimate of EUR 4,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 4,375.00. Other works by Bernard Picart have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,855.89) in July 2013 for the work An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty.

Im Mai 2015 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The I.Q. van Regteren Altena Collection Part IV durch, in der auch die Arbeit Design for an engraving: Night scene with the wigmaker, Brontin and Boirude, the sacristan, surprised by a night owl flying out of a lectern, from Le Lutrin von Bernard Picart zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 4.375,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Bernard Picart haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.855,89) im Juli 2013 für die Arbeit An Allegorical Frontispiece, Perhaps A Reflection On Human Frailty beobachtet.
