Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring 'Seasons' Cock by Bernard Meadows was sold in the Refining Taste: Works Selected by Danny Katz auction at Sothebys in London in May 2020. The price achieved of GBP 12,500.00 (€ 13,876.37) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bernard Meadows achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Startled Bird in November 2013 with an auction result of GBP 134,500.00 (€ 161,852.75).
