In June 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Impressionist and Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work Soleil d'hiver by Bernard Gantner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,872.91), 68% above the upper estimate. This high result makes Soleil d'hiver the most expensive artwork by Bernard Gantner that we have observed at auctions so far.
