In March 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER, which included the work Le Torrent En Hiver by Bernard Gantner. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,440.00 (€ 2,097.21), 60% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bernard Gantner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Soleil d'hiver, which sold at auction in June 2021 for GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,872.91).

Im März 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le Torrent En Hiver von Bernard Gantner zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.440,00 (€ 2.097,21) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Bernard Gantner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Soleil d'hiver beobachtet, die im Juni 2021 für GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.872,91) versteigert wurde.
