Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still-life with a jug, glass and apples by Benjamin Walter Spiers was auctioned at Christies in London in August 2003. The price achieved of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,433.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Walter Spiers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Un po' di Roma in February 2007 with an auction result of GBP 38,400.00 (€ 56,926.62).
