In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work The Banishment Of Aristides From Athens sold for GBP 2,750.00 (€ 3,111.61) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benjamin Robert Haydon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Heracles and Persephone in December 2000 with an auction result of GBP 25,850.00 (€ 41,178.82).
