Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Study Of A Seated Male Nude, His Arm Outstretched by Benedetto Luti for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,991.24). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master & British Drawings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedetto Luti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegory of the Elevation of Cardinal Deacon Oddone Colonna to the Papal Chair as Pope Martin V in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 222,500.00 (€ 228,041.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Study Of A Seated Male Nude, His Arm Outstretched von Benedetto Luti für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.991,24) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedetto Luti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegory of the Elevation of Cardinal Deacon Oddone Colonna to the Papal Chair as Pope Martin V im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 222.500,00 (€ 228.041,41).
