Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2016 a collector was able to acquire the work Christ in the House of Simon the Pharisee by Benedetto Luti for GBP 4,750.00 (€ 5,604.53). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master and British Paintings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Benedetto Luti achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Allegory of the Elevation of Cardinal Deacon Oddone Colonna to the Papal Chair as Pope Martin V in January 2000 with an auction result of USD 222,500.00 (€ 228,041.41).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2016 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Christ in the House of Simon the Pharisee von Benedetto Luti für GBP 4.750,00 (€ 5.604,53) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master and British Paintings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Benedetto Luti erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Allegory of the Elevation of Cardinal Deacon Oddone Colonna to the Papal Chair as Pope Martin V im Januar 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 222.500,00 (€ 228.041,41).
