Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ben Schumacher could be acquired at Sothebys in London in April 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Application Evaporation Study changed hands for GBP 1,000.00 (€ 1,163.29) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ben Schumacher have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Yet To Be Titled in February 2016 with an auction result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 7,688.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ben Schumacher konnte im April 2019 bei Sothebys in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Application Evaporation Study für GBP 1.000,00 (€ 1.163,29) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ben Schumacher auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Yet To Be Titled im Februar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 7.688,26).
