Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Olympic Fragment (L. 11) by Ben Nicholson was auctioned at Phillips in London in September this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,270.00 (€ 1,270.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ben Nicholson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work April 57 (Arbia 2) in November 2016 with an auction result of GBP 3,749,000.00 (€ 4,423,451.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Olympic Fragment (L. 11) von Ben Nicholson kam im September diesen Jahres bei Phillips in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.270,00 (€ 1.270,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ben Nicholson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit April 57 (Arbia 2) im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 3.749.000,00 (€ 4.423.451,41).
