Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Contadino con asino by Belisario Gioja was auctioned at Christies in Rome in November 2002. The price achieved of EUR 744.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 700.00 – 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Belisario Gioja - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Anticipation of the arrival, which sold at auction in September 2005 for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,761.09).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Contadino con asino von Belisario Gioja kam im November 2002 bei Christies in Rom zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 744,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 700,00 – 800,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Belisario Gioja mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Anticipation of the arrival beobachtet, die im September 2005 für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.761,09) versteigert wurde.
