Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Beauford Delaney achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the First Open auction, the work without title sold for USD 62,500.00 (€ 53,223.20) - well above the upper estimate of USD 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Beauford Delaney achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work James Baldwin in October last year with an auction result of GBP 1,026,000.00 (€ 1,195,278.64).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Beauford Delaney erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion First Open wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 62.500,00 (€ 53.223,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Beauford Delaney erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit James Baldwin im Oktober letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.026.000,00 (€ 1.195.278,64).
