Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Os pares by Beatriz Milhazes was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2021. The price achieved of GBP 559,500.00 (€ 651,962.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Beatriz Milhazes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Meu Limão, which sold at auction in November 2012 for USD 2,098,500.00 (€ 1,612,990.01).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 559.500,00 (€ 651.962,95) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Beatriz Milhazes mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Meu Limão beobachtet, die im November 2012 für USD 2.098.500,00 (€ 1.612.990,01) versteigert wurde.
