In December this year Christies in Paris held the auction Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’, which included the work Sans titre by Baya. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 13,860.00 54% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Baya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Christies in Paris die Auktion Contemporary Art – online sale including ‘’A Lifetime Collection’’ durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre von Baya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 13.860,00 und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51).
