Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Baya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Marrakech in May 2021. In the A Moroccan Spring auction, the work Femme Aux Papillons sold for MAD 97,500.00 (€ 8,555.44) - well above the upper estimate of MAD 44,000.00. Admittedly, works by Baya have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November this year with an auction result of GBP 47,880.00 (€ 55,482.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Baya erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Artcurial in Marrakesch einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion A Moroccan Spring wurde die Arbeit Femme Aux Papillons für MAD 97.500,00 (€ 8.555,44) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von MAD 44.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Baya auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.880,00 (€ 55.482,51).
