Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2007 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs from the Isadore and Kelly Friedman Collection, which included the work Selected images from Camera Work, October 1908; and October 1912 by Adolphe de Meyer. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,813.14) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adolphe de Meyer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Water Lilies in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 125,000.00 (€ 142,524.47).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs from the Isadore and Kelly Friedman Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit Selected images from Camera Work, October 1908; and October 1912 von Adolphe de Meyer zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.813,14) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adolphe de Meyer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Water Lilies im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 125.000,00 (€ 142.524,47).
