A top price for Bari Kumar
The work Silence II by Bari Kumar was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 40%. With this result, Silence II is even the most expensive work of art by Bari Kumar that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Silence II von Bari Kumar wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 40%. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Silence II sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Bari Kumar, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
