Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2008 Christies in New York held the auction South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art, which included the work Descent by Bari Kumar. The »bidding war« ended at USD 46,600.00 (€ 29,484.34), 17% above the upper estimate. Other works by Bari Kumar have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of HKD 391,500.00 (€ 32,230.82) in May 2008 for the work Silence II.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion South Asian Modern + Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Descent von Bari Kumar zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 46.600,00 (€ 29.484,34) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Andere Arbeiten von Bari Kumar haben noch höhere Preise erzielt - wir haben das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis von HKD 391.500,00 (€ 32.230,82) im Mai 2008 für die Arbeit Silence II beobachtet.
