Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Works For The Blind, 1985-1989 by Barbara Bloom was auctioned at Christies in New York in April 2006, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 600.00 (€ 475.29). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Barbara Bloom achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reign of Narcissism, Mirror I; and The Reign of Narcissism, Mirror VI in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 6,000.00 (€ 5,294.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Works For The Blind, 1985-1989 von Barbara Bloom im April 2006 bei Christies in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 600,00 (€ 475,29) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Barbara Bloom erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Reign of Narcissism, Mirror I; and The Reign of Narcissism, Mirror VI im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 6.000,00 (€ 5.294,74).
