This artwork by Bao Shichen achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Four-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,792.38) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Manuscripts in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 153,543.01).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Shichen erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Four-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.792,38) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Manuscripts im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 153.543,01).
