Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Bao Shichen could be acquired at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy changed hands for HKD 48,000.00 (€ 5,752.10) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Manuscripts in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 153,543.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bao Shichen konnte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wechselte die Arbeit Calligraphy für HKD 48.000,00 (€ 5.752,10) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Manuscripts im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 153.543,01).
