Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Bao Shichen was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in March 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 23,600.00 (€ 2,677.81) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bao Shichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy Manuscripts in September 2011 with an auction result of USD 206,500.00 (€ 153,543.01).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Bao Shichen wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 23.600,00 (€ 2.677,81) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bao Shichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy Manuscripts im September 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 206.500,00 (€ 153.543,01).
