Auction result well in line with expectations

The work Not Yet Titled (Ace) by Banks Violette was sold in the Contemporary Art Online auction at Sothebys in London in July 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 13,750.00 (€ 15,416.77) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Banks Violette achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work burnout (fadeaway), vol.1 in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 205,250.00 (€ 259,442.88).

Die Arbeit Not Yet Titled (Ace) von Banks Violette wurde im Juli 2018 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Online bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 13.750,00 (€ 15.416,77) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Banks Violette erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit burnout (fadeaway), vol.1 im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 205.250,00 (€ 259.442,88).
