Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2020 Artcurial in Marrakech held the auction A Moroccan Winter Contemporary African Art, which included the work Sans titre - 2018 by Bambo Sibiya. The price achieved of MAD 58,500.00 (€ 5,118.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as MAD 44,000.00 – 66,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Bambo Sibiya - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Three Men Seated, which sold at auction in October this year for GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,758.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2020 führte Artcurial in Marrakesch die Auktion A Moroccan Winter Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans titre - 2018 von Bambo Sibiya zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von MAD 58.500,00 (€ 5.118,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit MAD 44.000,00 – 66.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Bambo Sibiya mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Three Men Seated beobachtet, die im Oktober diesen Jahres für GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.758,36) versteigert wurde.
