Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Tribute I by Bambo Sibiya was sold in the Modern and Contemporary African Art auction at Sothebys in London in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,971.04) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Other works by Bambo Sibiya have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October this year the work Three Men Seated was auctioned for GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,758.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Tribute I von Bambo Sibiya wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.971,04) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Bambo Sibiya konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres die Arbeit Three Men Seated für GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.758,36) versteigert.
