This artwork by Bambo Sibiya achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in June 2021. In the African Contemporary Art auction, the work Sans Titre (Triptyque), 2019 sold for EUR 8,808.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bambo Sibiya; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Three Men Seated sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,758.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 76 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Bambo Sibiya erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion African Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sans Titre (Triptyque), 2019 für EUR 8.808,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bambo Sibiya; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Three Men Seated im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.758,36).
