In March 2021 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern and Contemporary African Art, which included the work Summer Day by Bambo Sibiya. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 9,450.00 (€ 11,101.32), 58% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Bambo Sibiya; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Three Men Seated sold at auction in October this year with the realized price of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 11,758.36).

Im März 2021 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern and Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Summer Day von Bambo Sibiya zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 9.450,00 (€ 11.101,32) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Bambo Sibiya; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Three Men Seated im Oktober diesen Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 11.758,36).
