In the European Noble and Private Collections auction, the work A portrait of Jacques-Jean Cremers (1736-after 1803) and his wife, dancing, on a garden terrace surrounded by other members of the family playing music; and An elegant company traditionally identified as the wedding of Jacob Johannes Cremers (+ 1786) sold for EUR 37,000.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 20, Admittedly, works by Balthasar Beschey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A River Landscape With Wagons And Townsfolk On A Path And Boats; And An Extensive Landscape With A Windmill And Figures, A Canal Beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 131,200.00 (€ 190,304.36).
