Sold at the lower estimate price
In April 2011 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & British Paintings, which included the work The Death of Cleopatra by Balthasar Beschey. The result of GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,757.03) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Balthasar Beschey achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A River Landscape With Wagons And Townsfolk On A Path And Boats; And An Extensive Landscape With A Windmill And Figures, A Canal Beyond in July 2005 with an auction result of GBP 131,200.00 (€ 190,304.36).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im April 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Death of Cleopatra von Balthasar Beschey zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.757,03) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Balthasar Beschey erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A River Landscape With Wagons And Townsfolk On A Path And Boats; And An Extensive Landscape With A Windmill And Figures, A Canal Beyond im Juli 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 131.200,00 (€ 190.304,36).
