It changed hands for a price of USD 8,750.00 (€ 7,639.25) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldassare Franceschini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 751,500.00 (€ 689,765.95).
