Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work A Reclining Youth by Baldassare Franceschini for USD 4,032.00 (€ 3,322.62). This price was achieved in the auction From Taddeo to Tiepolo: The Dr. John O’Brien Collection of Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldassare Franceschini achieve.
