Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Recto: Studies Of A Hand Holding A Staff, Two Studies Of The Head Of A Young Man And A Woman In Profile Verso: Studies Of A Young Boy, With Subsidiary Studies Of Two Hands by Baldassare Franceschini was sold in the Old Master & British Works on Paper auction at Sothebys in London in July 2017. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,066.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Baldassare Franceschini achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of the Marchese Altoviti as Hylas in April 2017 with an auction result of USD 751,500.00 (€ 689,765.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Recto: Studies Of A Hand Holding A Staff, Two Studies Of The Head Of A Young Man And A Woman In Profile Verso: Studies Of A Young Boy, With Subsidiary Studies Of Two Hands von Baldassare Franceschini wurde im Juli 2017 in der Auktion Old Master & British Works on Paper bei Sothebys in London versteigert.
