Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2006 Christies in London held the auction Old Master Pictures, which included the work An Eagle Attacking Ducks In A Pond With Putti Escaping In An Italianate Garden; And A Hunting Still Life With A Deer, A Rabbit, Ducks And Other Game In A River Landscape With Hunters Resting With Their Dogs by Baldassare De Caro. The price achieved of GBP 7,200.00 (€ 10,539.96) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Baldassare De Caro - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work An Upturned Basket Of Figs, Together With Apricots, Other Fruit And Flowers In A Landscape Setting, which sold at auction in December 2008 for GBP 34,850.00 (€ 36,602.64).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 7.200,00 (€ 10.539,96) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden.
