Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Spring At Lijiang River by Bai Xueshi was sold in the Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale auction at Bonhams in Hong Kong in August 2021. The price achieved of HKD 22,950.00 (€ 2,499.22) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 18,000.00 – 28,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Bai Xueshi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape of Li River in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 4,485,000.00 (€ 425,603.21).

Die Arbeit Spring At Lijiang River von Bai Xueshi wurde im August 2021 in der Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale bei Bonhams in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 22.950,00 (€ 2.499,22) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 18.000,00 – 28.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Bai Xueshi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape of Li River im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.485.000,00 (€ 425.603,21).
