A top price for Bai Xueshi
This artwork by Bai Xueshi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Landscape of Li River sold for HKD 4,485,000.00 (€ 425,603.21) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 1,800,000.00. This high result makes Landscape of Li River the most expensive artwork by Bai Xueshi that we have observed at auctions so far.
