Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village by Aw Tee Hong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 6,196.88) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aw Tee Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Singapore River in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 103,004.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Village von Aw Tee Hong kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 6.196,88) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 60.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aw Tee Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Singapore River im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 103.004,75).
