Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Singapore Shophouses by Aw Tee Hong was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in June 2020. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,050.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aw Tee Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Singapore River in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 103,004.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Singapore Shophouses von Aw Tee Hong wurde im Juni 2020 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.050,31) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aw Tee Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Singapore River im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 103.004,75).
