Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2019 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Aw Tee Hong for HKD 62,500.00 (€ 7,248.84). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 70,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Aw Tee Hong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Singapore River in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 900,000.00 (€ 103,004.75).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2019 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Aw Tee Hong für HKD 62.500,00 (€ 7.248,84) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Morning Session bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 120.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Aw Tee Hong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Singapore River im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 900.000,00 (€ 103.004,75).
