In July last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Heatwave: Online Auction, which included the work S&M Cruiseline by Avery Singer. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 18,900.00 (€ 22,569.96), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Avery Singer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Happening in May last year with an auction result of USD 5,253,000.00 (€ 4,895,163.54).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Heatwave: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit S&M Cruiseline von Avery Singer zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 18.900,00 (€ 22.569,96) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Avery Singer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Happening im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 5.253.000,00 (€ 4.895.163,54).
