Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Two works: (i) Untitled; (ii) Untitled by Austin Lee for USD 4,445.00 (€ 4,033.58). This price was achieved in the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art at Phillips in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Austin Lee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Drowning in November 2021 with an auction result of USD 75,600.00 (€ 66,979.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Two works: (i) Untitled; (ii) Untitled von Austin Lee für USD 4.445,00 (€ 4.033,58) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art bei Phillips in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Austin Lee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Drowning im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.600,00 (€ 66.979,71).
