Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of USD 2,640.00 (€ 2,176.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Augustin Ubeda - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Composition A La Tranche De Pasteque, Circa 1960, which sold at auction in October 2006 for EUR 6,166.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.640,00 (€ 2.176,60) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Augustin Ubeda mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Composition A La Tranche De Pasteque, Circa 1960 beobachtet, die im Oktober 2006 für EUR 6.166,00 versteigert wurde.
