This price was achieved in the auction Russian Works of Art, Fabergé & Icons at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 5,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Christian Ritt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Prince Alexei Borisovich Kurakin (1759-1829) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,593.92).
