In November 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Works of Art, Fabergé & Icons, which included the work Portrait Of A Gentleman, Circa 1790 by Augustin Christian Ritt. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 8,125.00 (€ 9,164.75), 63% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Christian Ritt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Prince Alexei Borisovich Kurakin (1759-1829) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,593.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 63 % übertroffen
Im November 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Works of Art, Fabergé & Icons durch, in der auch die Arbeit Portrait Of A Gentleman, Circa 1790 von Augustin Christian Ritt zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 8.125,00 (€ 9.164,75) und damit 63% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Christian Ritt erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Portrait Of Prince Alexei Borisovich Kurakin (1759-1829) im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 200.000,00 (€ 225.593,92).
