Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of A Lady, Circa 1790 by Augustin Christian Ritt was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2018. The price achieved of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,344.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Christian Ritt achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait Of Prince Alexei Borisovich Kurakin (1759-1829) in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 200,000.00 (€ 225,593.92).
