A top price for Augustin Pajou - as previously expected
The work L'Amour dominateur des éléments by Augustin Pajou was sold in the Old Master & 19th Century Art auction at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. The price achieved of EUR 314,880.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 250,000.00 – 350,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, L'Amour dominateur des éléments is the most expensive artwork by Augustin Pajou that we have observed at auctions so far.
