Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Head Of A Classical Youth, His Head Turned Slightly by Augustin Pajou for GBP 2,400.00 (€ 3,564.55). This price was achieved in the auction Old Master Drawings at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 4,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Augustin Pajou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'Amour dominateur des éléments in November last year with an auction result of EUR 314,880.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Head Of A Classical Youth, His Head Turned Slightly von Augustin Pajou für GBP 2.400,00 (€ 3.564,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Master Drawings bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 4.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Augustin Pajou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'Amour dominateur des éléments im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 314.880,00.
