Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Augustin Pajou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in March 2019. In the Terracotta auction, the work Amour Chevauchant Un Lion sold for EUR 244,600.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 100,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Augustin Pajou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot L'Amour dominateur des éléments sold at auction in November last year with the realized price of EUR 314,880.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Augustin Pajou erzielte im März 2019 bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Terracotta wurde die Arbeit Amour Chevauchant Un Lion für EUR 244.600,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 100.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Augustin Pajou; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit L'Amour dominateur des éléments im November letzten Jahres mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 314.880,00.
