Auction result well in line with expectations

It changed hands for a price of GBP 456.00 (€ 669.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by Auguste Coomans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep in a barn; Sheep in a meadow in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 12,872.20 (€ 6,178.23).

Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 456,00 (€ 669,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Coomans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep in a barn; Sheep in a meadow im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 12.872,20 (€ 6.178,23).
