Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Poultry On A Hillside by Auguste Coomans was sold in the Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,200.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by Auguste Coomans have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep in a barn; Sheep in a meadow in October 2000 with an auction result of NLG 12,872.20 (€ 6,178.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Poultry On A Hillside von Auguste Coomans wurde im Juni 2006 in der Auktion Pictures,Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.200,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Auguste Coomans auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep in a barn; Sheep in a meadow im Oktober 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von NLG 12.872,20 (€ 6.178,23).
